KEPCO assesses the energy consumption and GHG emissions of each business site, and verifies this performance through third parties. We establish short and mid- to- long-term strategies on energy consumption, total GHG emissions and per-unit reductions based on guidelines for the domestic trading of emission permits, and are increasing investments in green technology to lessen our environmental impact. Moreover, we manage pollutants by establishing efficient power facilities, educating users of pollutants necessary for maintenance work, installing disaster prevention facilities, and conducting regular inspections.
